Did you use only C/C++ programming to design the chess program or any other tool as well. How did you take care of the constraints? Just curios.

I used the excellent, free, Turbo C++ compiler/IDE from Borland. It is the same as the full version of C++ Builder, but with certain restrictions. You can download it from:
http://cc.codegear.com/free/turbo
- you only need to register to use it.
